The doctor may request that patients coming from out-of-state or out of the country remain in the area for an extra two weeks for follow-up care after discharge from the hospital.

Surgical Weight Reduction, P.C. will make every effort to make your trip as uncomplicated and enjoyable as possible. If requested, we will pick you up at the airport and provide transportation to your hotel and hospital. A cell phone will be available for you to contact the office or your designated attendant at all times.

Since we encourage walking after discharge, you may prefer a hotel near a shopping mall. If you desire, during your second week in the area, you may choose to stay at a hotel in New York City.

If you speak a language other than English, we will arrange for an interpreter to be available at all times.

Your local doctor will receive copies of all reports and tests, diagrams of the operation and a complete set of instructions for follow-up care.
